Avalign Technologies in Warsaw, IN is seeking a Grind Machinist to set up and operate grinding machines, producing parts according to blueprints and work instructions. This position is based in Warsaw, IN on a 1st shift schedule.

You will perform part setups, inspect parts with calipers and micrometers, and ensure dimensional accuracy per AQL. The role requires reading blueprints, understanding G&M codes, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while lifting up to 40 lbs and standing

• Reading blueprints and operation sheets to determine required grinding steps.
• Ability to read calipers, micrometers, height gauges and depth micrometers.
• Understanding of G & M codes and basic computer skills.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.

The Grind Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of grinding machines to produce parts in accordance with blueprint specifications and work instructions.

This position will be based at our location in Warsaw, IN and assigned to a1st shift schedule.

What You’ll Do:

• Operates grinding equipment and runs production in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Performs setup for parts according to blueprints and guidelines.
• Uses inspection gauges such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges and comparator to perform quality checks on parts as outlined by AQL and work instructions.
• Corrects dimensional problems and approves setups by other operators.
• Maintains and ensures accurate counts on completed parts and scrapped parts; completes production paperwork and makes required entries into company database.
• Comply with all policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

• Ability to read and use calipers, micrometers, height gauge, depth micrometers.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work operations sheets to determine appropriate operations to be performed.
• Understanding of G & M Codes
• Strong understanding of computers.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with little direct supervision.
• Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk eight hours plus per day.
• Ability to work overtime (daily/weekly)
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
