GE Vernova is seeking an Assembler II for its Greenville site to assemble gas turbine components. You will read blueprints, interpret engineering drawings, and perform precise fit-up, drilling, and bolting to specification.

You will work with cranes, hoists and a variety of tools, performing quality checks, maintaining safety, and supporting continuous improvement. This role requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work at heights.

Competenze

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing or industrial assembly experience.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints or engineering drawings independently.
• Experience performing component fit-up, alignment, drilling, reaming, doweling, bolting, or mechanical adjustment to specification.
• Experience using standard measuring devices and inspection methods to verify quality requirements during assembly.
• Must be capable and comfortable working in confined spaces and working at heights.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and wear required PPE.
• Successful completion of an assessment for the job class, background check, and drug screen.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Mansioni

• Align, erect, assemble, and fit gas turbine components for new make and repair work.
• Interpret drawings and planning documents to complete assembly work accurately.
• Position and align components using cranes, hoists, and other devices, then drill, ream, dowel, bolt, and fit to specification.
• Perform mechanical alignments and fit-up using standard measuring devices.
• Apply quality checks and documentation to ensure assemblies meet specifications.
• Use fixtures, stands, and power tools to complete work.
• Coordinate task flow and assist less experienced assemblers to meet production goals.
• Identify and correct routine machining or setup issues to maintain quality and flow.
• Contribute to team problem solving and continuous improvement.
