Job Description Summary
Responsibilities
- Perform complete assembly, disassembly, and/or modifications to engineering developmental products or aircraft gas turbine apparatus, components, sub‑assemblies, and accessories.
- Set up and operate balance and high‑speed test equipment to balance and test a wide variety of developmental rotating parts and components.
- Add or remove material as necessary to achieve the required balance.
- Perform in‑process, final, and related inspection functions using precision checking and measuring devices.
Qualifications / Experience
- MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years in gas turbine engine assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, procedures, and directions; proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to acquire and maintain a variety of security and program clearances.
- FAA Power Plant License required for new hires or re‑hires after October 15, 2005 (as applicable).
Displacement and Role Details
- Displacement rights to specified related jobs within the organization (e.g., Production Assembly Mechanic, R19 Heat Treat Services, etc.).
- Role may involve high risk or hazardous operations and/or shifts beyond a standard workweek; candidates must be at least 18 years of age by joining.
