Job summary

GE Vernova is hiring an Assembler I (02B) in Greenville to assemble and disassemble gas turbine components, interpret drawings, and set up test equipment. The role requires basic mechanical and electrical assembly experience and the ability to work with cranes and hoists while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The successful candidate will contribute to continuous improvement and support a productive manufacturing environment with strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, or electrical assembly experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Experience following work instructions, drawings, diagrams, or schematics to complete standardized work.
• Basic experience installing, fastening, fitting, or routing mechanical and/or electrical components in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble gas turbine components and subassemblies per instructions and specs.
• Interpret BOMs, diagrams, schematics, and shop documents to complete work.
• Position, fit, fasten, and torque components and piping or tubing systems.
• Perform basic mechanical and electrical assembly tasks, including wiring connections.
• Set up and disassemble test equipment and verify alignment using measuring tools.
• Operate forklifts and cranes as trained.
• Identify and fix routine machining or setup issues to maintain quality.
• Contribute to problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Own compliance, safety, quality, and productivity in your area.
