Job summary

Americold in Vernon, California is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely receive, store, and ship food products using sit-down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, and RF scanners.

You will load and unload freight, stack and organize merchandise, verify accuracy, and maintain a clean, safe work environment while meeting production targets.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 months related experience; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely using proper equipment to move products to storage.
• Stack, store, pick and assemble orders; check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation; label, wrap, and pack as directed.
• Operate forklifts and RF scanners safely in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean, orderly work area.
• Perform inventory, cleaning, and battery changes; other duties as needed.
