Job summary

Americold is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely receive, store, and ship food products using sit-down/stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners in a fast-paced facility.

Typical shift is Monday–Friday 2:30 PM–11:00 PM. Candidates should have at least 1 year of forklift experience and be able to meet production standards while maintaining safety and accuracy in all tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3 months of related forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to meet production standards while maintaining safety.
• Willingness to work overtime, evenings, or weekends as needed to meet shift requirements.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklift equipment.
• Store merchandise and assemble orders for shipment with accuracy.
• Check freight for damage, infestation and labeling; ensure proper packing and sorting as directed.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment and assist with inventory tasks.
