Job summary

Americold is seeking a Forklift Operator to ensure safe receipt, storage, and shipment of food products using sit-down and stand-up forklifts and RF scanners. You will load/unload freight, stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders, and maintain safety and accuracy on the floor.

The role requires a GED or high school diploma and at least a few months of related experience, with overtime and weekend shifts possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and safely load and unload freight using proper equipment to move products to storage throughout facility.
• Effectively store merchandise and assemble orders for shipment, checking for accuracy and damage as directed by management.
• Operate equipment in a manner that promotes safety and meets OSHA standards.
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Perform other duties such as inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes as needed.
