Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products, LLC in Marietta, GA seeks a Finish Coater Operator to safely run roll coaters in Finish A and B rooms. You will set up coaters, monitor wet film, viscosity, temperature, and adjust per QC lab guidance, perform roll changes, clean equipment, and record paint usage in Oracle.

The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year manufacturing experience, and familiarity with basic hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of basic hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up the Finish A and B coaters and operate them safely.
• Measure wet film thickness, viscosity, temperature, and roll speeds.
• Adjust coater per QC Lab direction and perform roll changes as needed.
• Clean painting equipment and move paint drums in/out of the coater room.
• Enter paint usage data into Oracle and monitor safety protocols.
• Communicate with Production and Quality Control to resolve issues.
• Work up to 12-hour shifts and comply with PPE and environment rules.
