Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products, LLC in the United States is seeking a Prime Coater operator to safely run the Prime Coater machine and support finish coaters as needed. You will set up the coater, monitor wet film thickness, viscosity, and temperatures, perform roll changes, document paint usage, and enter data into Oracle while following safety protocols and quality standards.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to read schedules and SOPs are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• One year operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of basic hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up the Prime Coater machine and monitor operation.
• Measure painting parameters and adjust as directed by QC Lab Tech.
• Perform roll changes and clean painting equipment.
• Document paint usage and enter data into Oracle.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety protocols.
• Communicate with production and quality teams to resolve issues.
