Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products in Middletown, OH is seeking a Night Shift Finish A Coater Operator. You will safely operate the roll coater in the Finish A room, set up the coater, and measure parameters such as wet film thickness, viscosity, and temperature, adjusting the coater per QC Lab Tech instructions.

Responsibilities include housekeeping, documenting paint usage in Oracle, performing roll changes, cleaning equipment, and maintaining communication with Production and Quality Control to meet

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic hand and power tools knowledge.
• Preferred: 6+ months of manufacturing experience with mobile equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up the Finish A roll coater and operate it safely.
• Measure parameters (wet film thickness, viscosity, temperature, roll speeds).
• Adjust the coater as directed by QC Lab Tech and perform roll changes.
• Clean painting equipment and move paint drums as needed.
• Enter data into Oracle and communicate with Production/Quality Control.
