Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Fabricator to interpret blueprints and produce precise components. You will operate braking, shearing, drilling and grinding equipment to form parts, weld as needed, and verify conformance to specifications.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, basic math, and steady manual dexterity, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality. Local applicants in Rhode Island preferred, with full-time schedule on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience interpreting blueprints and specifications.
• Basic math and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align and secure parts before assembly.
• Inspect parts with gauges to ensure spec conformance.
• Operate fabricating machines (brakes, shears, grinders, drills).
• Weld and assemble components per blueprints.
• Study engineering drawings to determine materials and sequencing.
• Maintain clean and safe work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
