Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Fabricator 1 in Kansas City, MO to produce metal and wood components using various manual and automated tools. The role requires reading shop drawings, setting up jigs, and maintaining equipment for repeatable parts.

You will handle measuring, layout, and inspection tasks, ensuring accuracy down to the thousandth of an inch, while supporting project site needs and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Apprentice or vocational/technical/trade training preferred.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Operates manual and automated equipment producing metal or wood components.
• Reads a tape measure and ensures parts meet size requirements.
• Packages and loads cut materials for transport to project sites.
• Cleans up the shop and equipment.
• Sets up jigs and fixtures for repeatable parts.
• Performs tooling changes and preventive maintenance.
