Job summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Senior Fabricator in Kansas City to produce high-precision components and fabricate jigs and fixtures. The role supports the company’s construction projects with repeatable parts and accurate assembly, reading shop drawings, and coordinating with a small production team.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial construction or fabrication, can lift 50 pounds, and works in a dynamic shop environment with varying conditions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years commercial construction, manufacturing, or fabrication shop experience (Preferred).
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• May be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold).
• Maintenance facility environment, varying temperatures, moving equipment, noise and exhaust fumes.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of automated and manual shop equipment to produce components per cut lists.
• Sets up jigs and fixtures to produce repeatable parts.
• Reads and interprets shop drawings and construction drawings.
• Applies basic math to size parts and assemble components.
• Packages and loads materials for transport to project sites.
• Directs and leads tasks for a small production team when needed.
