Actalent in Irvine, CA is seeking an Engineering Technician to perform precision hand soldering and rework on miniature PCBAs under a microscope. You will support prototype builds and work closely with engineering on board bring-up, testing, and documentation.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in electronics rework, strong troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with Altium file reading. This on-site contract-to-hire role includes comprehensive benefits and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in electronics rework, testing, or troubleshooting.
• Expert precision hand soldering and rework under a microscope on miniature components.
• Component-level troubleshooting with an oscilloscope, a DMM, and bench equipment; reading schematics/datasheets.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision hand soldering and rework on miniature PCBAs under a microscope.
• Remove and replace components, repair solder joints and modify prototype boards as directed by engineering.
• Support prototype and engineering builds of electronic and electromechanical assemblies.
• Follow proper ESD handling and control procedures.
• Run board bring-up procedures, power up new boards, and record measurements.
