Job summary

Sierra Microwave in Georgetown, TX, seeks an assembler to assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems under a microscope in a manufacturing environment.

You will read work orders, follow procedures, use basic hand tools, and may solder components to meet specifications. You will mount and connect parts, verify counts, and record completions on work orders and time sheets.

Qualifications

• High school graduation required; technical classes or related training helpful but not required.
• Overtime availability may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs kit audits prior to assembly to verify all parts.
• Reads work orders, assembly procedures, follows production drawing and sample assemblies, receives verbal instructions regarding duties to perform.
• Use basic hand tools to assemble components and /or sub-assemblies.
• May solder together components to assemble fabricated metal items as specified by work orders, diagrams, or layouts.
• Bend, clean, and adjust or trim materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.
• Mounts, connects, and assembles components.
• Review and count completed parts and assemblies.
• Records completion of work on a work order and time sheet.
