Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Precision Electromechanical Assembler 3 for its Rolling Meadows, IL location. The role involves assembling optical-mechanical and electro-optical components, following drawings, and performing inspections and testing to ensure premium quality.

Responsibilities include mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and alignment using a range of precision tools. Candidates must meet the stated qualification criteria and be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years mechanical assembly or an Associate's with 2+ years.
• Experience following work instructions and reading/interpreting drawings.
• Experience with wire harnesses/cable assemblies and precision mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly, potting, magnet stacking, mpm, transmitter assembly.
• Rework/troubleshooting.
• In process inspections.
• Microscope and manual dexterity operations.
• Perform some automated testing.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, work instructions, and assembly documentation.
• Use precision hand tools, torque tools, measuring equipment and mechanical test equipment.
• Perform mechanical fit-up, alignment, and hardware installation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
