Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Rolling Meadows, IL, seeks a Precision Electromechanical Assembler 3 to perform mechanical assembly on opto‑mechanical, electro‑optic, and electronic assemblies, reading drawings and instructions, and using precision hand tools.

The role requires a high school diploma or Associate degree with 2–4 years of relevant experience, the ability to obtain a US government Secret clearance, and readiness for OT or weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• Experience reading and following drawings and work instructions.
• Experience with wire harnesses/cable assemblies and precision tooling.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly, potting, magnet stacking, mpm, transmitter assembly.
• Rework/troubleshooting and in-process inspections.
• Microscope and manual dexterity operations; automated testing.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and assembly documentation.
• Use precision hand tools, torque tools and measurement equipment.
• Perform mechanical fit-up, alignment, and hardware installation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
