Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Precision Electromechanical Assembler 3 (2nd shift) in Rolling Meadows, IL. You will execute mechanical assembly, align components, and test assemblies ranging from opto-mechanical to electro-optical devices.

The role requires a HS diploma with 4+ years of assembly experience or an AA with 2+ years. Reading drawings and using precision tools are essential, with US Secret clearance eligibility and US citizenship required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent with 4+ years mechanical assembly experience or an AA with 2+ years relevant work experience.
• Experience reading/interpreting drawings and work instructions.
• Experience with wire harnesses/cable assemblies and using precision tooling.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, align, and test opto-mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Read drawings, schematics, and assembly docs for correct fit and function.
• Use precision hand tools, torque tools, and measuring equipment.
• Perform fit-up, alignment, and hardware installation.
• Support other duties as needed by engineering teams.
