Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Rolling Meadows, IL, is seeking a Precision Electromechanical Assembler 3 (2nd shift) to execute mechanical assemblies of opto-mechanical and electronic components. You will work from diagrams, layouts, and assembly documentation, performing continuity checks and using precision tools.

Qualifications include a high school diploma (or equivalent) with 4+ years of mechanical assembly experience, or an Associate’s degree with 2 years of relevant work. U.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of mechanical assembly experience, or an Associate’s degree with 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/schematics and work instructions.
• Experience with wire harnesses and/or cable assemblies.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly, integration, and modification of complex systems and components.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and assembly documentation.
• Use precision hand tools, torque tools, measuring equipment, and test equipment.
• Perform alignment and hardware installation.
• Other duties as assigned.
