Precision Electromechanical Assembler 3 – Second Shift
Location: Rolling Meadows, IL. This role supports the Commodities RF assembly area, where precision work, safety, and adherence to specialized processes are critical.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of operations to assemble, solder, and rework precision electromechanical products specifically related to circuit cards.
- Use precision measuring instruments to achieve specified tolerances.
- Assemble, disassemble, repair, and reassemble both production and depot field returns circuit card assemblies.
- Support development and modification of prototype circuit card assemblies in collaboration with engineering personnel.
- Monitor and verify product quality using statistical processes and other control procedures.
- Maintain accurate data and detailed record‑keeping of assembly processes.
- Follow company electrostatic discharge (ESD) procedures and in‑house certifications, including Solder, Drawing Interpretation, ESD, and FOD.
- Work from designs, work instructions, and verbal instructions to ensure high‑quality assembly.
- Use and apply standard electromechanical assembly techniques with small parts.
Qualities & Physical Demands
- Repetitive tasks with prolonged standing; require focus and precision throughout each shift.
- Must adhere to rigorous safety protocols, especially when working with hazardous chemicals and processes.
- Clear communicator able to read and understand complex instructions.
- Comfortable working with microscopes, soldering tools, and small mechanical components.
- Committed to safe work practices and continuous quality improvement within a dynamic RF assembly environment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
- Leadership and communication skills.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience assembling products using standard electromechanical techniques with basic handheld tools.
- Experience with AirVac rework technology and machines, and solder paste operations.
- Experience interpreting drawings, surface mount, thru‑hole, and leaded device install.
- Experience soldering in accordance with specified workmanship standards.
- Experience with shop safety practices and procedures during assembly operations, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Ability to work Second Shift.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Active SECRET security clearance required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing precision assembly and soldering.
- IPC‑610 and JSTD‑001 certification.

Salary & Compensation
Primary Level Salary Range: $53,500.00 – $89,100.00. Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and long‑term incentives for higher positions.
