Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a Precision Electromechanical Assembler 2 (Second Shift) based out of Rolling Meadows, IL.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of operations to assemble, solder, and integrate precision electromechanical products.
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specified tolerances.
- Assemble, disassemble, repair, and reassemble precision assemblies and correct malfunctions.
- Assemble and modify prototype precision units for engineering personnel.
- Monitor and verify quality by statistical processes or other control procedures.
- Perform accurate data and record keeping.
- Perform tasks according to the company’s electrostatic discharge (ESD) procedures.
- Work from designs, work instructions, and verbal instructions.
- Complete in‑house Solder, Optics, ESD, and FOD certifications.
- Use Microsoft Office products.
- Use Enterprise Resource Planning Software.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing the assembly of electromechanical products using standard techniques and basic handheld tools.
- Experience in soldering to specified workmanship standards.
- Experience with shop safety practices and procedures during assembly operations.
- Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Experience reading technical blueprints, electrical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience handling and cleaning optics and optic assemblies.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
- Position involves repetitive tasks and prolonged standing; ability to manage these demands.
- Must be comfortable working with hazardous chemicals and cleaning solutions while adhering to safety protocols.
- Ability to work overtime, including evenings and weekends when needed.

Compensation
Salary range: $45,100.00 - $75,100.00 per year. Pay may include overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses.
