Job summary

SMC Ltd. seeks an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to strengthen equipment reliability through a robust ERP-driven Preventive Maintenance program.

You will boost uptime by planning and executing PMs, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on primary and secondary equipment. Responsibilities include fabricating and restoring components, commissioning assets, maintaining molding and automation systems, and creating traceable documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred—or equivalent experience.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
• Hands-on troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems; blueprint reading proficiency.
• Strong foundation in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and robotics.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Boost uptime by building, scheduling, and executing PMs within our ERP system.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems across primary/secondary equipment.
• Fabricate and restore components using welding, cutting, assembly, painting, and finishing techniques.
• Commission, qualify, and document new or relocated assets.
• Maintain molding and automation systems: Arburg, Van Dorn, Toyo presses; ultrasonic welders; multi-axis industrial robots.
• Create documentation for custom equipment and modifications to ensure traceability.
• Specify, order, and manage spare parts to sustain availability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and support additional tasks as assigned.
