Job summary

IES Infrastructure is seeking a dependable Mechanical Assembler to join our production team in Canton, Ohio. This role assembles electrical gear and switchgear components according to engineering drawings and work instructions, requiring strong mechanical aptitude and precision.

The successful candidate will read blueprints, use hand and power tools, maintain clean work areas, and collaborate with supervisors to meet production schedules while adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret drawings.
• Experience reading blueprints and specifications is preferred.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical gear and switchgear components per blueprints and specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and specifications.
• Measure materials and components with measuring tools.
• Use wrenches, drills, impact drivers and other assembly equipment.
• Secure nuts, bolts, brackets and hardware to specification.
• Perform mechanical assembly while maintaining quality and schedules.
• Troubleshoot assembly issues and resolve fit/assembly concerns.
• Inspect assemblies for quality and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
