Job summary

IDEAL ELECTRIC COMPANY in Mansfield, Ohio is seeking an Assembly Mechanic to join our growing team. You’ll build specialty electric machines, perform assembly, welding, stack components, and operate cranes or PIT equipment as needed.

This hands-on role requires reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. We value strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read prints, follow instructions, and work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read prints and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, spot weld, machine operate, stack components and weld as needed.
• Operate cranes and powered industrial trucks as directed.
• Use measurement tools and hand tools to verify assemblies.
• Follow drawings, prints, and work instructions precisely.
• Maintain safety and quality documentation as required.
