Job summary

Compacting Tooling Inc. is seeking an EDM Wire operator to run several thru-wire EDM and sinker EDM machines. You will program, set up, and operate equipment to fabricate precision metal parts per engineering specs.

You must monitor processes, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot issues to maintain quality. Ideal candidates have experience with wire EDM, G-code, CAD/CAM software, and a tool-and-die background. Apprenticeship background is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

Experience with Wire EDM machine operation and setup.
Proficiency with CNC programming and related software.
Program and complete the setup of EDM machine according to engineering specifications.
Operate the machine to produce precision parts and monitor the machining process to ensure accuracy.
Perform routine maintenance on the equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
Inspect finished parts for quality and ensure they meet all specifications.
Familiarity with G-code programming, CAD and CAM software applications.
Detail oriented.
Background in tool and die making.
Completion of apprenticeship/journey program helpful, not required.
