Job summary

NyproMold is seeking a skilled EDM Operator to join our precision tooling team. The EDM Operator will set up, operate, and maintain EDM equipment to produce high-precision mold components that meet exact specifications and quality standards.

This role requires 2+ years of EDM operating experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with Toolmakers and Engineers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of EDM operating experience.
• Experience in mold manufacturing or precision machining environment strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training a plus

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Sinker EDM machines
• Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and process sheets
• Perform electrode setup, alignment, and burn operations
• Monitor machine performance and adjust offsets as needed
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools
• Maintain required documentation and production records
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Work collaboratively with Toolmakers, Programmers, and Engineering teams
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
