Job summary

NyproMold is seeking a Laser Engraving Operator to set up, program, and run laser engraving equipment for precision components. You will read engineering drawings, prepare fixtures, and verify engravings to meet customer specifications in a clean, safe manufacturing environment.

The role requires basic computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining quality and productivity. Prior experience with laser engraving equipment is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn laser engraving software.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
• Ability to read basic engineering drawings and understand dimensions and part orientation.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining established quality and productivity standards.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate laser engraving equipment to mark, etch, and identify precision components according to engineering drawings and customer specifications.
• Review work orders, engineering drawings, specifications, and engraving requirements prior to beginning work.
• Load and position parts accurately in fixtures to ensure proper engraving location and orientation.
• Select, create, and/or modify laser engraving programs based on job requirements.
• Inspect completed work to ensure markings meet drawing and customer requirements.
• Use basic measuring and inspection equipment as required to verify part and engraving locations.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
• Follow established manufacturing procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Work with Engineering and Manufacturing personnel to resolve engraving or documentation issues.
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to quality, productivity, and process efficiency.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
