Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years operating and programming EDM machines for plastic injection molds.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CAM programming software experience, preference Mastercam.
• Skilled use of precision measuring equipment.
• Must have good problem solving skills and be detail oriented.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up parts, program using Mastercam, and operate sinker and wire EDM machines.
• Create programs to finish core and cavity details as discussed in job meetings.
• Operate supporting equipment such as surface grinders, hole popper, cutoff saw.
• Perform weekly machine maintenance to keep equipment in good condition.
• Maximize machine utilization and program for unattended operation during off shifts.
• Inspect machined electrodes using precision tools and interpret CMM reports.
