Job summary

People First Recruitment is seeking a Precision EDM Manufacturing Technician in Auburn Hills, MI to set up and operate CNC EDM machines (sinker, wire, or popper) with strict GD&T specs. You will ensure proper tooling, maintain TPM routines, and verify parts to engineering specs while keeping clear shift communications.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in wire or sinker EDMs, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a security clearance if needed.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years with wire or sinker EDMs (GD&T experience required).
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if needed.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC EDM machines — sinker, wire, or popper — and occasionally support grind operations.
• Ensure machines are properly tooled and maintained; execute routine TPM.
• Produce and verify parts to engineering and customer specifications.
• Perform inspections to manufacturing standards and blueprint requirements; identify burrs or surface damage.
• Accurately maintain part IDs and documentation per planning specifications.
• Keep materials and parts moving efficiently through the cell.
• Follow all safety rules, quality procedures, and company policies; sustain a clean, organized 6S work area.
• Provide clear, concise shift‑change updates to the next team.
