Job summary

Williams International is seeking CNC Machinists with EDM experience to join our team in Pontiac, MI. The role focuses on setting up and operating wire and sinker EDM machines, with occasional grind support, ensuring parts meet engineering and blueprint specifications.

This weekend-day position (Fri–Sun, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM) emphasizes precision, TPM, 6S housekeeping, and strict safety procedures in a high‑tech manufacturing environment. U.S. citizenship and clearance eligibility may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2–5 years of experience with Wire or Sinker EDMs.
• Experience with GD&T required.
• Able to read blueprints and manufacturing specifications.
• U.S. citizenship is required and ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance if needed.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate miscellaneous CNC EDM machines such as sinker or wire EDMs.
• Machine and test parts according to engineering and customer specifications.
• Perform inspection and testing to ensure parts meet manufacturing standards and blueprints.
• Maintain proper part identification and accurate records; ensure TPM and 6S workplace discipline.
• Ensure smooth material flow through the cell and communicate shift requirements.
