Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Mechanical Door Installer for a position based in Bessemer, AL. The role involves reading blueprints, installing door hardware, and adjusting doors and openers to ensure smooth operation.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, prior door installation experience, and the ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors as needed. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, with weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Prior experience in door installation.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting 50 lbs and outdoor work.
• Reads a lined tape measure to 1/32 of an inch.

Responsibilities

• Cut, measure, move, and install materials, equipment, or supplies.
• Use blueprints to install door hardware including hinges, stoppers, and handles.
• Adjust doors to open or close with the correct amount of effort or adjust electric openers.
• Carry springs to tops of doors, use ladders or scaffolding, and attach springs to tracks.
• Install door frames, rails, curtains, electronic-eye mechanisms, or electric door openers and closers with tools.
• Assemble and fasten tracks to structures using impact wrenches or welding equipment.
