Job summary

Scott Bridge Co. seeks a skilled Crane Operator to safely and precisely position heavy components for bridges, dams, and marine projects.

You will read load charts, follow hand signals, and coordinate with foreman and crew to ensure safe lifts and timely set-ups on projects across the Southeast. Expect a rigorous safety culture, PPE provided, training opportunities, and a typical 50–60 hour work week with occasional weekends; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• ANSI B30.5(5-3) qualification standard
• Experience operating cranes with 2+ years in similar roles
• Ability to read and understand load charts and rigging specifications
• Knowledge of hand signals for hoisting operations
• Routine equipment maintenance knowledge
• Strong commitment to safety and accuracy

Responsibilities

• Safely position heavy components to build/restore critical infrastructure
• Follow load charts and capacity guidelines for lifts
• Operate cranes with controlled boom and load line management
• Set up and readiness of equipment for construction
• Perform routine maintenance like greasing and fueling to preserve equipment
• Identify worn components and uphold safety standards on site
• Collaborate with foreman, pile drivers, welders and other crew
• Maintain strong safety culture and follow PPE and training requirements
