Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a CNC Programmer / Machinist for a permanent on-site role in Princeton, IN. You will program, set up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual machines to manufacture precision gears and components, developing efficient programs and ensuring high-quality parts.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork with engineering and quality, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced shop. On-the-job training, including niche German equipment, is possible, with excellent pay and comprehensive

Qualifications

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving in machining.
Hands-on CNC programming and setup on lathes and mills.
Ability to read blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T.
Knowledge of machining and machine setup including gear cutting and grinding.
Commitment to safety and continuous improvement in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes, mills, grinders, gear cutting, and gear grinding machines.
Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T to ensure accurate machining of parts.
Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs to maximize quality, efficiency, and throughput.
Select tooling, establish speeds and feeds, and verify setups before production.
Inspect finished parts using measuring equipment to confirm quality and dimensional requirements.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet customer specs and delivery.
