Job summary

Aerodyn Engineering is seeking a CNC Machinist/On Machine Programmer to machine tight-tolerance aerospace hardware in Indianapolis. This hands-on role requires reading blueprints, writing or adjusting programs at the machine, and performing setups with various tooling.

You will ensure parts meet exacting specs on Hastelloy, Inconel, and 17-4 PH materials. Three to five years of machinist experience in an R&D or low-volume setting is preferred, with strong knowledge of G & M code and

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years machinist experience in an R&D or low-volume manufacturing environment.
• Aerospace experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of G & M code programming (Mastercam/NX).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to develop creative solutions under tight tolerances.
• Self-directed, professional, and comfortable operating independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and routers to hit tight tolerances on aerospace hardware.
• Write or adjust CNC programs at the machine using Mastercam and SolidWorks.
• Perform machine setups with selected tooling and fixtures.
• Machine and deliver high-quality parts from aerospace materials.
• Program feeds, speeds, and depth of cut per material specs.
• Measure finished parts using CMM, calipers, bore gauges, pins, and micrometers.
