Job summary

Aerodyn Engineering is seeking a CNC Machinist/On Machine Programmer in Indianapolis to machine tight-tolerance aerospace hardware. The role involves reading blueprints, writing or adjusting programs at the machine, setting up tooling, and verifying parts before proceeding.

The candidate will work on complex materials like Hastelloy, Inconel, and 17-4 PH, with shifts on 1st or 2nd and a salary range of $30–$50 per hour plus benefits.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years machinist experience in R&D or low-volume manufacturing.
• Aerospace experience strongly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of G & M code programming (Mastercam/NX).
• Able to read blueprints and write/adjust programs at the machine.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and job routers to hit tight tolerances on aerospace hardware.
• Write and adjust CNC programs at the machine using Mastercam and NX.
• Set up tooling and perform machine setups with various fixtures.
• Machine and deliver high-quality parts in demanding aerospace materials.
• Program feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to match specs.
• Measure finished parts with CMM, calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Maintain ERP documentation and time entry for scheduling.
