Job summary

Aerodyn Engineering in Indianapolis, IN seeks an experienced CNC Machinist/On Machine Programmer. You will read blueprints, write and adjust programs, and perform end-to-end setups for complex aerospace parts crafted from Hastelloy, Inconel, and 17-4 PH.

This is a hands-on role demanding precision and ownership in a fast-paced, AS9100D/ISO 9001:2015 environment. Expect to work on 1st or 2nd shifts, with strong emphasis on tool selection, fixture work, and metrology using CMMs.collaboration with

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years machinist experience in R&D or low-volume manufacturing
• Proficient in G & M code programming (Mastercam/NX)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work under tight tolerances
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Self-directed with reliable time management and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and job routers to meet tight tolerances on complex aerospace hardware
• Write and adjust CNC programs at the machine using Mastercam and NX
• Perform machine setups with various tooling and fixtures
• Machine and inspect high-grade aerospace materials like Hastelloy and Inconel
• Set feeds, speeds, and depth of cut per material specs and tooling guidelines
• Measure finished parts with CMM, calipers, bore gauges, and micrometers
• Coordinate with Manufacturing on troubleshooting and time estimates
• Maintain ERP documentation and accurate time-entry for scheduling
