Howmet Aerospace in Columbia, CT is seeking a hands-on CNC Milling Technician to set up, operate, and maintain 3- and 4-axis milling machines to produce high-precision components.

You will read blueprints, verify dimensions with precision measuring tools, adjust tooling and offsets, and document quality checks while keeping a safe, organized work area. On-site role with competitive benefits and career growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years on CNC milling machines in a production environment.
• Familiarity with 3, 4-Axis CNC multi-axis machines.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and operation sheets.
• Experience with precision measuring tools.
• ITAR requires U.S. person status.
• US work authorization; Visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate CNC Milling Machines for 3 and 4 axis operations.
• Maintain production on 2-4 machines simultaneously depending on complexity/cycle time.
• Use standard gaging to validate parts within specifications.
• Adjust tooling and offsets to maintain conformance.
• Fill out paperwork for all work performed (dimensional check records, signoffs, handoffs).
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Move completed jobs to staging area for next operation.
