Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Winsted, CT is seeking an Aerospace Machine Operator to operate CNC grinding and milling equipment, load/unload parts, and monitor performance per standard work instructions.

You will inspect parts with precision gauges, maintain a clean and safe workspace, and collaborate with machinists, engineers, quality and maintenance teams. We provide paid training, opportunities to advance, shift differential, and a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with precision grinding and milling machines is preferred.
• CNC machining experience is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC grinding and machining equipment following standard work instructions.
• Load and unload parts while monitoring machine performance.
• Inspect parts using gauges and precision measuring tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work closely with experienced machinists, engineers, quality, and maintenance teams.
