Job summary

Instrument Development Company Llc is seeking a skilled Mill-Turn Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will set up and operate CNC mill-turn machines, read blueprints, and use Esprit or manual programming to produce high-precision parts.

You will inspect parts with calipers and micrometers, perform routine tool changes and maintenance, and uphold safety protocols in a fast-paced environment while documenting production data and collaborating with engineers and quality control teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of CNC Mill/Turn experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming, setup, and operation.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems is a plus.
• Familiar with Mill/Turn equipment.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mill-turn machines to perform precision turning/milling operations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and setup sheets; determine machining procedures.
• Use Esprit or manual programming to set up machining jobs.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers and gauges to ensure dimensions.
• Perform routine maintenance on turning mills, including tool changes and lubrication.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Document production data and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with engineers, quality control, and supervisors to ensure quality and on-time production.
