Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to set up, operate, and optimize multi-axis CNC mills, grinders, lathes, and related equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will read blueprints, verify bill of materials, run production jobs, and perform quality inspections to meet strict specifications. Overtime may be required, and the ideal candidate has strong math, problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Seven years of related experience required.
• CNC certification or metalworking tooling certification preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English.

Responsibilities

• Run production jobs on multi-axis CNC mills/grinders/lathes per work instructions to produce quality parts.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges and log findings.
• Read work orders and blueprints to verify specifications and BOM accuracy.
• Adjust machine feed, speed and axis offsets to meet tolerances.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and perform tool changes as needed.
• Set up machines including fixtures, tooling and programs.
• Maintain general machine upkeep and cleanliness.
• Report production counts and downtime accurately.
• Participate in lean activities and cross-train across machines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
