Job summary

Allient Inc. in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is seeking a Machine Operator to operate CNC and conventional machine tools, perform limited setup, and follow specifications and tooling instructions to produce parts.

You will read blueprints, set speeds and feeds, verify tolerances with micrometers and calipers, replace worn tools, and collaborate with team on quality and efficiency on the production floor.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• 0–8 years of related machining experience; CNC preferred.
• Ability to operate more than one machine at a time.
• Basic math skills and print reading; familiar with micrometers and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints or job packets for product specifications, tolerances, and tooling instructions.
• Installs and adjusts holding devices and fastens cutting tools to meet specifications using hand tools.
• Sets speed and feed of the machine and verifies tolerances with micrometers, gauges and templates.
• Changes worn cutting tools and adjusts cutting speed, feed rate or depth of cut as required.
• May perform first piece inspections.
