Job summary

Allient Inc. in Tulsa, Oklahoma is seeking a Senior Programmer/Manufacturing Engineer to lead CNC programming for multi‑axis milling and turning and to optimize manufacturing processes.

You will mentor engineers and machinists, drive Lean initiatives, and collaborate with design, quality, and production teams to improve manufacturability and ensure high‑quality aerospace components.

Experience with CAD/CAM tools (Mastercam/Siemens NX) and a strong background in AS9100/NADCAP is highly desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• 8+ years CNC programming with 3+ years in aerospace/precision manufacturing.
• ESPIRIT knowledge and experience needed
• G-code and multi-axis machining (3–5 axes) and tight tolerances.
• Coaching and mentoring technical teams.
• Lean, SMED, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with ERP/MES and digital manufacturing tools.
• Aerospace standards AS9100/NADCAP familiarity.
• CAD/CAM proficiency: Mastercam, Siemens NX, CATIA, Fusion 360.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for multi-axis milling, turning, and mill-turn.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specs to ensure accurate machining.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to improve manufacturability.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in CNC programming and setup.
• Train and mentor junior programmers, engineers, operators, and machinists.
• Lead workshops on CNC programming techniques and tooling strategies.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in machining operations.
• Prepare CNC setups and process documentation.
• Support NPI by developing prototype programs.
