Job summary

Allient Inc. in Tulsa, OK seeks a Senior Programmer/Manufacturing Engineer to lead CNC programming, setup, and tooling for multi-axis machining.

You will mentor staff, optimize processes, and ensure compliance with aerospace standards while coordinating with engineering and quality teams. Responsibilities span program development, tool selection, and process improvement to shorten cycle times and improve manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
• 8+ years CNC programming experience, with at least 3 years in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
• ESPIRIT knowledge and experience.
• Deep knowledge of G-code and multi-axis machining (3-,4-,5-axis).
• Coaching and mentoring technical teams.
• Lean, SMED, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with ERP/MES and digital manufacturing tools.
• Aerospace quality standards familiarity (AS9100, NADCAP).

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for multi-axis milling, turning, and mill-turn machines.
• Interpret complex drawings, blueprints, and specs to ensure accurate machining processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality to improve manufacturability and reduce cycle times.
• Select cutting tools, speeds, and feeds to maximize efficiency and tool life.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in CNC programming, setup, and machining processes.
• Train and mentor junior programmers, engineers, operators, and machinists on best practices.
• Lead workshops on CNC programming techniques, work holding, and lean principles.
• Maintain CNC program libraries and documentation per company standards.
• Support NPI by developing prototype programs and refining processes.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in machining operations.
