Qualifications

• High school/technical education plus 3 years set-up experience on CNC horizontal/vertical.
• Extensive knowledge of precision tools including verniers, gauges, micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to verify conformance of finished work to specs using precision instruments.
• Setup CNC centers for production with fixture verification and first piece check.

Responsibilities

• Produce machined components according to production schedule.
• Study specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances and setup requirements.
• Maintain holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments and materials on machines.
• Evaluate machining factors and communicate anomalies to supervision.
• Verify finished work conformance to specifications.
• Work with designers, production personnel and programmers to resolve issues.
• Participate in TPM activities and cross-train as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow 5S principles.
