Job summary

PRL, Inc. is seeking a skilled Manual/CNC Machinist to operate a range of manual and CNC horizontal or vertical milling/boring machines and lathes.

You will produce parts from castings, bar stock, and other materials following blueprints and procedures to ensure high quality and precision. Responsibilities include setting up machines, editing CNC programs as needed, selecting tooling, maintaining tooling and records, and working safely in a clean, structured shop environment with adherence to

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
Related machining experience desirable.
Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.
Knowledge of shop math, trigonometry, and GD&T.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and read/write in English.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate manual and CNC machines safely, using hand tools and measuring devices.
Use CNC machines, including familiarity with G and M codes and minor program edits at the machine.
Apply correct speeds/feeds, work-holding methods, tooling, print interpretation, and inspection methods.
Machining parts to tight tolerances (as close as .0002”).
Participate in jig/fixture design for machining parts.
Follow instructions and communicate clearly; maintain accurate records.
Operate forklift/cranes as needed and keep a clean, safe work area.
Attend annual safety training and adapt to evolving duties.
