Job summary

Seneca Resources is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate manual and CNC milling machines and lathes, producing precision parts from castings and bar stock in accordance with blueprints and specifications. You will interpret drawings, select tooling, and ensure accuracy to tight tolerances.

The role requires reading blueprints, applying GD&T, and maintaining production records while working safely and independently in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior machining experience (manual and/or CNC).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of shop math, trigonometry, and GD&T.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and/or CNC milling machines and lathes.
• Perform minor CNC program edits using G & M codes.
• Machine parts to tolerances as close as .0002 inch.
• Select correct speeds, feeds, tooling, and work-holding methods.
• Assist in the design and use of jigs and fixtures.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings.
• Use precision measuring and inspection tools.
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and material-handling equipment as needed.
• Verify job documentation and maintain accurate production records.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Work independently with limited supervision.
• Participate in required safety training and comply with all safety procedures.
