Job summary

Parker Aerospace in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, interpret complex drawings, and ensure high-quality parts. You will work with engineering to resolve issues and implement efficient manufacturing methods.

The role requires five or more years of machining experience, proficiency with IGF software, and the ability to run multiple machines with precision.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent and five or more years related machining experience in a high technology manufacturing environment.
• Able to work with minimum supervisory guidance in a team environment.
• Reads, understands, and follows blueprints, complex drawings, engineering specifications, and informal written or verbal instructions.
• Able to set up and run a minimum of five CNC machine types.
• May require specialized certification specific to division requirements (i.e. certified operator).
• Has working knowledge of advanced shop mathematics, may include trigonometry.

Responsibilities

• Runs multiple machines efficiently, which may require simultaneous operations.
• Creates standard machining programs using IGF Software and proves out/edit programs.
• Sets ups, adjusts, and operates a variety of conventional and CNC lathes/mills to perform diversified production operations.
• Interprets customer requirements from blueprints, complex drawings, and engineering specifications.
• Interfaces with engineering to resolve drawing errors and solve product/process problems.
• Implements manufacturing methods using standard production machines, materials, and tooling.
