Job summary

Parker Aerospace is hiring a CNC Machinist A for the 2nd shift. The role is non-exempt and requires operating CNC milling equipment, reading blueprints, and ensuring part quality through inspections. Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least two years of tooling experience.

The position emphasizes tool changes, setup guidance, and adherence to safety and standard work procedures. Participation in internal programs and continuous improvement is encouraged.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Two years related tooling experience or demonstrated ability to perform described position responsibilities.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and determine the condition and sizes of all tools and fixtures; good knowledge of shop tools, jigs, fixtures, templates, standard tooling system and computer terminal operations.
• Must demonstrate manual dexterity.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to read and follow forms, schematics and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operates CNC milling equipment and performs basic to moderately complex machining per blueprints and specs.
• Verifies part quality using inspection tools and makes minor offset adjustments.
• Reads and interprets setup sheets, process docs, and tolerances to ensure conformance.
• Performs in-process and final inspections with calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other gauges.
• Maintains safe, clean, and orderly work area; records production and inspection data.
