Job summary

Parker Aerospace in Texas is seeking an experienced CNC machinist to set up and run a range of CNC and conventional machines, interpreting drawings and blueprints to produce precise parts. You will develop programs with IGF software, perform setups, and mentor peers while adhering to quality and safety standards.

This role demands working with high tolerance parts, occasional heavy lifting, and a focus on lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent and five or more years related machining experience in a high technology manufacturing environment.
• Ability to set up and run a minimum of five CNC machine types.
• May require specialized certification (e.g., certified operator).
• Reads, understands blueprints and complex drawings and follows specifications.
• Able to make precision machine set ups on multiple CNC machines.

Responsibilities

• Runs multiple machines efficiently and adapts tooling to meet production needs.
• Creates standard machining programs using IGF Software and validates them.
• Sets up and operates conventional and CNC lathes/mills to tight tolerances.
• Interprets customer requirements from blueprints and specifications.
• Maintains equipment and performs SPC in line with division needs.
• Trains and mentors less experienced team members.
