Job summary

BARNES AEROSPACE seeks a machinist to set up and operate CNC mills, lathes and grinders to meet tight tolerances per customer specs. You will read blueprints, use calibrated tools and document processes, ensuring parts comply with requirements.

Collaborate with toolmakers, engineers, program managers and quality staff to resolve issues and uphold safety and quality standards. 1–3 years machining experience required; aerospace exp. a plus.

Qualifications

• Solid job history with 1-3 years as a machinist.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes and grinders to meet tolerances.
• Use calibrated tools and measuring devices to verify parts.
• Complete required paperwork and checklists accurately.
• Interface with engineers, program managers and quality personnel to resolve issues.
• Maintain safety and quality in all machining tasks.
